Cancer
survivors are special. In each community, cancer survivors are
invited
to begin the Relay For Life by walking the Survivor's Victory Lap
around
the track. After dark, a special Luminary Ceremony takes place. Candle
are lit in memory of those who have lost their battle with cancer, and
in honor of those who continue the fight. The heartfelt love and caring
shared by freinds and family during the two ceremonies is truly
inspiring.
Throughout the evening and into the next day participants enjoy entertainment, fun, and camaraderie. Long before the last walkers approach the finish line, signifying Relay's end, new friends have been made, old friends have been hugged and all hearts have been touched by the magic of Relay For Life.
