You
can help light the way to a cure for cancer and honor loved ones who have
battled the desease. During the American Society's Relay For Life event,
a beautiful and touching Luminary Ceremony takes place. Candles are
placed in luminary bags and can be purchased weeks prior to the Relay For
Life, as well as during the event. The luminaries are lit in honor
of those fighting cancer or in rememberance of those who have lost their
battle. After the candles are lit and line the Relay For Life track,
the names of those honored are remembered in a touching ceremony.
The votives burn throughout the night, serving as a reminder of the purpose
of Relay For Life. For a small donation, you can sponsor a glowing
tribute to a loved one touched by cancer.
