The Richmond Community Theatre has returned to presenting 3 plays for its 2000-2001 season. The Theatre will present the fall presentation of Harper Lee’s Pulitzer Prize novel, “To Kill A Mockingbird”, followed by the winter presentation of “Driving Miss Daisy”, and will conclude with the famed comedy, “Harvey”. “We’re glad to be going back to present three plays a
season,” said Theatre Board Chairman, Jimmy McDonald. “We've had
a lot of people wanting this change, as we have too. We had a lot
of people audition and get involved with the Theatre last year, and
that's what prompted our scheduling a third show.”
The final and spring play of the season will be an encore presentation of the ever famous comedy, “Harvey” First presented by the Theatre in 1983, “Harvey” is the story about Elwood P. Dowd who has an illusionary rabbit as his guardian angel, and no matter what life throws at him, Harvey is there to bail him out of trouble. There are roles for 9 men and 6 women.
