The Bankston Swing is made from an old-fashioned design that is beautifully crafted and very comfortable. Each Swing is handmade of high quality kiln-dried southern yellow pine. The seat is contoured for fit and comfort and the high straight back provides firm back support.

Each swing is assembled using stainless steel screws and nails that will never rust.Nostaples or power nail guns are used in the assembly process.

A specially designed stainless steel chain bracket is used to keep the chain away from the armrest.

All of our swings that are 3' 4" or wider, are supported by at least four (4) seat-and-back supports. For all swings that are 4' 8" or wider, five (5) seat-and-back supports are used. These supports are made of 1 1/4" stock, and provide excellent strength and stability. For all swings that exceed 5' 2" in width, a special support piece is placed across the front of the swing and behind the foremost slats. In addition, the chain brackets are upgraded from 11 guage to 3/16" stainless steel, and the chain from 2/0 to a 3/0 size. Larger "S" hooks are also used.

All joints in a Bankston Swing are lap joints that are secured with glue and with screws for added strength and durability. A special weather-proof glue is used to enhance the swing's tolerance to all types of weather conditions.

The slats of each swing are nicely rounded on the top edges for added smoothness and comfort. The slats touch throughout, but , if desired, a "drainage option" is available at no additional cost. With this option, a 1/8" space is left between the slats in the seat only. This space serves to prevent rain from standing in the swing.

In the assembly process, every third slat is screwed to the supports to provide extra stability and strength. The remaining slats are nailed by hand, resulting in a swing that will provide long years of serious swinging pleasure.

An option for your swing is the deluxe model. It is equipped with four 1/2" dowels under each armrest. These are mortised into the arm support and into a narrow base designed to match the contour of the seat. This is a decorative feature that serves to keep pillows or cushions from sliding off the swing and to provide an attractive "finishing touch".

Your Bankston Swing will come to you in a natural unfinished wood condition. The wood has been kiln-dried and sanded, and is ready for any treatment you desire.

4' Swing: This swing will very comfortably accommodate two adults or an adult and two medium children. It can be difficult to enjoy this swing lying down.
	4 1/2' Swing: This is a very nice and versatile swing. It is large enough to comfortably seat 3 normal adults, and long enough to enjoy lying down, even for someone as tall as 6'3" or 6' 4". Your problem...where do you find 3 normal adults?
5' Swing: This is a big swing!. It will generously seat 3 adults or a whole wad of kids. Almost anyone could enjoy taking a "power nap" in this baby. This will fill up a pretty wide porch nicely.

6' Swing: This is a really LARGE swing. As for how many it will accommodate.....do you remember the story of Noah and the ark? We recommend this swing for sunrooms or for porches that are deeper than 8'.
